Quinni Gallagher-Jones (2024)

Quinn "Quinni" Gallagher-Jones is a Year 11 student and school captain at Hartley High. She is a thoughtful, caring, and extremely friendly girl with a love for Angeline of the Underworld. She is best friends with Darren, and dated Sasha for a short period. She is also close friends with Amerie, Malakai, Harper, and Ca$h. Quinni is autistic and portrayed by Chloe Hayden.

Season 1

"Map B**ch"[]

Quinni is first seen in the courtyard talking with Darren when Amerie bumps into them and continues walking like nothing happened. Darren gets mad but Quinni gives them the benefit of the doubt, suggesting they could have not seen the two standing there. Darren then calls the two of them ‘beautiful exquisite jellyfish’ and Quinni smiles happily in agreement. She gets upset when she finds herself linked to Spider with the label ‘lazy kebab’ on the sex-map. Quinni asks everyone what it means but no one responds.

During the assembly about the sex-map, Quinni suggests it’s just “their year” that is in the gymnasium, and Darren assumes it was Spider and his friends (Ant and Dusty). She can be seen listening to the assembly. Later she is outside the gym when the fight between Harper and Amerie happens. After the fight, Amerie sneezes blood on Quinni and Darren pulls her away disgusted.

She can be seen asking a student what a ‘lazy kebab’ is and Darren tells her to stop asking people that. She then asks them what it means and they tell her - this makes Quinni question herself but Darren actively reassures her. She is one of the students called to attend SLTs over the intercom by Woodsy. She can be seen coming into the classroom with Darren and socializing with other students. Quinni participates in the hand-shaking exercise with everyone else in the class and can be seen walking out with everyone.

During lunch Quinni is in the bathroom when she hears Amerie eating in the stall next to her and comments on it. She then peaks over the stall to continue talking to Amerie, who gets uncomfortable and runs out of the bathroom, with Quinni chasing after her. Outside, Darren walks with Quinni and makes a mean comment about Amerie. This sparks Quinni to defend her, saying it was Spider who spread the ‘lazy kebab’ rumor and he’s the real asshole. Darren points out that Amerie has never paid attention to them, and Quinni again gives Amerie the benefit of the doubt.

Later she’s seen googling ‘lazy kebab’ on the internet and doesn’t see Darren calling her. The next day, Quinni, Darren, and Ameire are on top of the roof of a building fixing Amerie’s hair. She asks if Amerie’s sad and Amerie replies yes. This makes Quinni suggest they do scream therapy, and after some convincing- Amerie agrees. The three of them do scream therapy and Quinni screams about having a ‘lazy kebab’. Amerie apologizes about putting that bit on the map and Quinni fully understands it was Spider. The three of them all reconcile and Quinni reassures Amerie that she and Darren don’t hate her like everyone else. Later, the three all show up to the graveyard party while everyone stares at them. She starts to dance with Malakai and Darren before grabbing Amerie and pulling her in to join.

That night, Quinni walks up and gives Spider a binder full of pictures and information on vagin*s so he can better educate himself on how they look. When he says he’s seen ‘heaps of vagin*s’, this prompts Quinni to throw shade. She says since Spider was lying about seeing hers, she assumed he was also lying about seeing ‘heaps’ of them in the first place. This makes everyone laugh, making Spider embarrassed. Spider then admits they never had sex and insults Quinni as he walks away. Right after, Sasha walks up to Quinni and congratulates her while laughing, stating she has never seen anyone mess with Spider that bad before. As Sasha walks off, Quinni smiles happily. Later, Amerie is ready to leave and Quinni and Darren support her decision - guiding her out of the party.

"Renaissance titt*es"[]

Quinni calls over Amerie when she gets to school, calling Amerie their (her and Darren’s) new bestie and embracing her with a hug. Later, Quinni is seen in SLTs with everyone else watching the educational video. Commenting that the noodle video feels unhygienic. Sasha overhears Quinni asking Darren if they have a spare pen and hands Quinni her favorite drawing pen. Quinni admires the pen and then accidentally drops it, crawling underneath the desk to get it. She bumps her head and looks up making her discover the Harper and Dusty link that reveals they hooked-up. After SLTs is over, Quinni shows Darren the Harper and Dusty sex-map link under the desk and they question if they should tell Amerie.

Later she arrives at the nurses office and Sasha is laying on one of the beds. Quinni asks where the nurse is and Sasha said she’s in-class for one of the other students. Sasha calls the other student “bubble boy” and Quinni asks if that’s mean. Sasha said it isn’t because she doesn’t call him bubble boy to his face. Quinni sits down and starts to sympathize with bubble boy as Sasha begins to segue the conversation into more fun things, like favorite flavors of paddle pops. Quinni tells Sasha the nurse has biscuits and they start to really kick it off. Sasha asks if she can see the drawing Quinni was working on in SLTs and Sasha listens intently as Quinni explains Angeline of the Underworld to her. Then the nurse interrupts their convo and Sasha leaves, forgetting the pen she let Quinni borrow. Quinni’s smart watch then goes off, detecting a heart rate of 98.

That day Quinni, Darren, and Amerie are in the library when Quinni attempts to ask Sasha out but doesn’t quite pull through, turning back at the last moment. When she gets back behind the bookshelf where Darren and Amerie are hiding, Quinni vents her insecurities to the two - who reassure her she’s great. During gym class outside, Quinni asks Amerie how you make someone like you. Amerie tries her best to get Sasha’s attention so Quinni can have an icebreaker but it doesn’t work. Although it does push Quinni to swallow the pill and walk up to Sasha on the field and tell her she likes her. Quinni accidentally lists a few things she doesn’t like about Sasha before circling back around to asking her out. Sasha happily agrees to hang out and Quinni circles back again and asks if Sasha means going on a date. Sasha, giggling, reaffirms she meant a date and Quinni walks away giddily while Darren and Amerie celebrate. Then Quinni turns one last time to give Sasha her pen back before running back to her friends and celebrating.

Quinni, Darren, and Amerie are hanging out reading Darren’s fathers romance novel before Quinni’s date. She then asks Amerie how many girlfriends Sasha has had, and Amerie says a lot. Quinni doubts herself again and to cheer her up, Darren begins reading more of their father’s romance novel. Later we can see Sasha has made Quinni wait by being late to their date. As they get to their seats, Sasha leaves Quinni to get the table by herself and she gets a bit anxious from the environment. Further in the night we see Sasha talking about herself on the date while Quinni is overstimulated by the noises of the restaurant. Fearing that Sasha is losing interest in her because of her lack of focus, Quinni moves to the bathroom to regain her breath.

At Dusty’s party, an upset Quinni barges into the bathroom to find Darren and expresses that her date didn’t go well because she was overstimulated. Darren reassures her and they begin to do breathing exercises as Amerie leaves, making her way back into the party. Later in the party we can see Darren and Quinni relaxing in the tub together with candles surrounding them. Quinni, now feeling much better, says she is ready to leave the party. On her way out she stops to talk to Sasha. Sasha approaches the date situation in a self-centered manner, feeling like Quinni was ignoring her the whole time. This makes Quinni tell Sasha she is autistic and just good at masking. Sasha makes a few ableist comments that make Quinni call her Sia and begin walking away- but then Sasha pulls Quinni back in by raining her with compliments. The two make up by sharing their first kiss.

"Eetsway"[]

Quinni and Sasha are seen making out passionately in the courtyard before school when Harper walks by and smirks at them. Later she is with Amerie and Darren in class looking at the new sex-map. Quinni then adds her and Sasha to the sex-map with a heart, stating they’re officially girlfriends now. When Amerie is looking for solutions to not think about boys, Quinni suggests Amerie get a hobby. She is seen walking with Darren and Amerie, talking about after school clubs. During the group project in SLTs, Sasha preemptively asks JoJo if they could work outside so Quinni wouldn’t get overstimulated by the noise; Quinni appreciates the gesture. She can be seen staying silent while the rest of her group bicker a bit during the project. Later, she’s at Darren’s work eating with Amerie and Darren while they chat.

"Rack Off"[]

Quinni and Darren are walking to school talking about Mardi Gras when Amerie comes up and scares the two of them jokingly. Quinni points out a cornflake on Ameries shirt and asks questions about Amerie losing her v-card while they enter Hartley. She is seen comforting Amerie while she is embarrassed by Malakai's girlfriend proposal and the group also talk about Mardi Gras. The discussion turns to drugs and Quinni doesn't seem interested. As they walk and talk, Quinni successfully deduces from their conversation that Darren likes Ca$h. Later in the nurses office Sasha and Quinni are making out under a blanket. Quinni comes up for air and asks Sasha to come over Darren's for a pre-game party. Sasha enthusiastically replies and the two begin cuddling and kissing again. Quinni asks if they're gonna have sex in the nurses office and Sasha doesn't shoot down the thought. Before anything can happen though, the nurse interrupts them. Quinni can be seen before and during SLTs, participating in the self defense class with the others. She can be seen in-class when the two groups rejoin, close to Sasha.

"Angeline"[]

In the episode Angeline, we are greeted to a scene of Quinni's room in the morning, we see her run through her morning routine. It is later seen in this episode that Quinni has plans to go to a book reading with the author of Angeline of the Underworld, of which Quinni is ecstatic about, Sasha decides to come with Quinni to the book signing which does not bother Quinni. However, on the same day as the book signing, Amerie is holding a party at her house, Quinni says to Sasha that if she isn't too tired by the end of the signing that she could go to the party. We then skip forward to Quinni's room again, this time Quinni is taking a nap in her bed when Sasha enters, Quinni wakes up and Sasha offers her a kiss, to which she takes gleefully. Quinni then Goes to start getting ready for the reading. Fast forward to when Quinni and Sasha get on the bus headed to the library where the book signing is taking place. Sasha wants to stop at a gelato place on the way of which Quinni is hesitant to do due to wanting to stick to her routine and her plan for the day, of which Sasha ignores and Quinni reluctantly agrees because Sasha said that she would definitely be there on time. In the gelato store, Sasha meets an old friend who follows Sasha and Quinni back on the bus, Quinni begins to become overstimulated on the bus and she retaliates by putting her headphones on. When Sasha's friend notices this, Sasha makes a comment saying "she's kind of like, on the spectrum"

when they finally make it to the signing, we are briefly introduced to Quinni's friend. Sasha and Quinni then go to wait in line for the reading. After the reading, Quinni gets to talk to the author, she asks her to sign her copy of the book and the author says that Quinni would be a good author, to which she is ecstatic about. They have a heartfelt conversation before it cuts to the bus again.

Quinni tells Sasha about her dreams of becoming a writer to which Sasha replies with "and I wanna get pissed" which Quinni replies with "oh sash, I don't think I can deal with a party right now". The two break out into an argument which ends with Quinni getting off the bus leaving Sasha alone. The episode ends with Quinni having a meltdown which is a very tragic, moving and heartbreaking moment in the show.

Season 2[]

"The Demon King"[]

After being bitten by a snake and determined to find out who Bird Psycho is, it is revealed that Quinni created an evidence board back when the first strike at Amerie occurred and against the advice of Amerie and Darren who suggests she should rest and focus her time on recovering, she continues to connect the dots since she was so close to uncovering who they are as she heard her alarm in the previous episode. She even get's excited when they bring her a get well card from all the Year 11's which means she can cross match the handwriting on the card to the Bird Psycho's and she'll be one step closer to uncovering who they are, she explains that the case hasn't been solved. She snaps at them saying "I'm fine!" When they suggest she can shut the whole thing down and instead suggests that if they wanted to help her they could ask Jojo where her missing phone may be and then she proceeds to ask for a list of supplies that will be useful for her board and makes a comment on how crime shows are not honest with resource production.

In one of the new episodes of heartbreak high she gets bit by a snake and is scared that she might die but is later seen as fine in the next episode[]
