Can you bring backpacks to Knotts? ›

Guests arriving at the park will go through metal detection every public operating day. All bags, purses, backpacks, waist packs, etc. will be examined prior to entering.

The official policy is: unopened water bottles, baby food and food for guests with special dietary restrictions are permitted. No other outside food, drink or snack items are permitted to be brought inside Knott's Berry Farm or Knott's Soak City.

Arrive Early!

You can get several many big rides within the first hour of park opening. Knott's Berry Farm opens at 10am daily. Bouns Tip: Start at the back of the park. Many people start in Ghost Town or Camp Snoopy making the wait for the big rides on the Boardwalk (Xcelerator and Supereme Scream) pretty easy.

At Knott's Berry Farm, we want you to have an effortless time with your friends and family. That's why we've moved to all cashless payments throughout the park.

No marijuana use is allowed on the Knott's property. Tobacco, cigarette, and e-cigarette smoking is allowed in designated areas only. Animals are not allowed inside the Park with the exception of service animals.

Parking lots open approximately one hour before theme park opening. The Metered Lot by the California Marketplace offers complimentary parking for up to 1 hour. Each additional half hour or portion thereof is $10 with a maximum daily charge of $60. All lost tickets will be charged $60.

Knott's MarketPlace, a free-admission dining and shopping complex outside the Park's gates, is the home of Virginia's Gift Shop, The Berry Market, the delightful Peanuts Headquarters, and the Emporium.

Best times to visit Knott's Berry Farm

If you're aiming to avoid crowds at Knott's Berry Farm, plan on a midweek, off-peak vacation. The park is packed during summer, spring break and three-day weekends. Basically, it will be busy any time that California kids are out of school.

Can a 13 year old go to Knotts alone? ›

Guests ages 15 years old or younger who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone when the Chaperone Policy is in effect will be subject to ejection. This chaperone requirement applies to all Knott's Berry Farm, Knott's Scary Farm and Soak City Waterpark ticket and season passholders.

Layered clothing is helpful in the cool mornings and warmer afternoons. Bring something to secure your hat while on the faster rides, or wear one you can stuff into a pocket. Please note that their dress code is strictly enforced: shoes, shirts or blouses are required at all times.
